A place not to be missed. Wonderful cupcakes, cookies, cakes in jars and even creme brûlée. Fantastic miniature shrimp sandwiches, Cesar chicken sandwiches, tuna and corn sandwiches, ‘esh bil laham’ and even ‘bastilla’.
You won’t be disappointed!
Ya She is right……
Its good too.
I just came from the recently opened shop and I was blown away. Putting aside my previous quarrel with the name, which even I admit it’s beside the point, the shop itself was super cool, filled with busy bees; many young men and a lady, mainly Saudis, who are taking care of each customer as soon as he or she enters the shop. The young lady who served me explained to me the different kind of cupcakes, which is the first thing I went for. They all looked yummy and unique, and an effort was made to make the selections distinctive and different than all the other cupcakes bakeries in Jeddah. You will find items like Chai Late, Green Tea, Pumpkin, Peanut Butter, Cheesecake, etc. Even the Vanilla and Chocolate cupcakes look different. I selected four of them although I wanted more. Thank God their savory selections of cupcakes, tarts, and quniches were still not on display, because I don’t know if I would have been able to help myself. The shop even sells coffee, which is just the thing you need to go with your takeaway. I must say that everything from the shop, the food, and the smiling staffs looked and felt elegant, tasteful, and professional.
I chose 4 cupcakes, Peanut Butter, Chai Latte, Chocolate, and Pumpkin. The Peanut Butter was excellent, moist sweet and a little salty, as it should, and with frosting made of chocolate and peanut butter topped with a small piece of Reese’s Pieces candy. This one was a very good surprise. The Chai Latte in the other hand was my least favorite, because it was not as moist and it lacked character. It tasted more vanilla, which is understandable given that tea is not really the strongest flavor when it goes into making food. Then I tasted the chocolate, which was very nice and moist. Its frosting was not the usual cupcake creamy frosting; it was rather a layer of thicker chocolate. The last one was the Pumpkin cupcake, which I am pretty sure no one has made it before of the famous bakeries in Jeddah. This one had a strong flavor, enhanced by cinnamon. It was moist and tasty, but the frosting was too sweet for my taste, which I am sure would be just fine to many.
Over all, I am so positive on this shop, and I am sure I will be going back soon insha Allah to try their savories, and I will report back to you when I do.
simply amazing
Sweet & Savoury is a new idea to the Saudi market, we really lack bakeries with such a vast range of muffins and cupcakes! It’s a perfect place to cater from as it serves both the salty and the sweet tooth

I wouldn’t compare it to Munch at all, however, because they are two different concepts, although they both offer cupcakes (which is not a new idea) but they differ in flavors and taste, the delivered menu seems to cater to different needs… (Such as the pizzas, 3aish bila7am, and shrimp muffins offered by Sweet & Savoury)
Great to have a new place in town!
Def looking forward 2 the opening.. we really cant wait
and i advice everyone to try it! its the BEST EVER..
Dear Noor,
Thank you for your lovely comments, furthermore to your comments Sweet & Savory, a true romance between two separate worlds that came together to meet in one place, where their existence brings happiness and joy to the lives of many.
Mr.Savory
I saw it when I passed by it yesterday and I hope it is good. I am not really crazy about the generic name, because it sounds more like a category and less like a brand name. I found it as lazy and unimaginative as calling your laundry “The Laundry”, and your restaurant “The Restaurant”.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your observations and critique. The name Sweet & Savory is a registered Trade and Brand name in both the UK and Saudi Arabia. As much as we agree that a brand name such as “Yum Yum” or “Yumi” would have appealed more to the younger public, Sweet & Savory will cater for all age groups and will serve the higher end of the market. We do hope you pass by our shop when it opens to get a feel of the ambience and may be come to terms with the brand name and the reason it was chosen above many others we reviewed.
Thanks for your kind reply. I didn’t know it’s a franchise, I thought it was just another name, and that is why I did not like it. On the other hand if it was called “Yummy” or “Yum Yum” that would have annoyed me even more. Regardless on my nitpicking on the name,I would surely visit and try the food, because I love to discover and champion the “new kid” in town if what you provide is of good quality and value to the customers. Looking forward for the grand opening, and thanks again for being a good sport about my previous comment.
Guys i don’t get it… Why are you talking about the name of the damn store!!! talk about something more realistic
“Yummy” loooooooool
