Sultans Steakhouse8 Reviews
A Steakhouse right out of Turkey has arrived in Jeddah’s latest food cluster. Sultan’s Steakhouse opened its doors in Jeddah’s U Shape Centre (home to the Sandwich Gallery and 77 Burger and Pizza) in Mid October of 2015.
We were thoroughly impressed, even ‘wowed’ by the interior, the contemporary yet rustic feel definitely works, with solid oak tables (long enough for a banquet) contrasting nicely with the in vogue exposed element light bulbs, and handful of Tom Dixon lamps hanging elegantly here and there. Fortunately as much attention is paid to the food as the decor.
The Porterhouse steak we tried was fantastic, it arrived too rare for our liking so we asked for it to be cooked a little longer, the waiter happily obliged. We also sampled the Lamb Fillet (very good), the Cheese Meatballs, a couple of house salads, along with the Lamb Chops. Most impressive was the Porterhouse Steak, Lamb Fillet and the Cheese Meatballs. Grilled to perfection, Meat is something Sultans Steakhouse Jeddah does very well.
It was a soft opening on our visit, so staff were a little overstretched, and the grill was a little on the smokey side, but we are told these issues are being addressed and so will save our full review for a few weeks from now once these glitches are ironed out. We didn’t get a chance to try the Shawarma or the Burgers, Two Porterhouse Steaks (At 900g Each) made sure we room for little else! So we will certainly be back to sample other items from the menu soon!
