Steak House is a well known restaurant which plenty of people seem to be visiting these days. I however had not visited the place until only recently, when I decided to go for lunch with a co-worker. I had heard many good things about the steak on offer, and being a “steak house ” I assumed the steaks would taste great. So I was keen to test them out, ‘the proof is in the pudding’ as they say, because no one can judge for you, and everyones tastes are different.

As a result, I gave it a shot, accompanied by a friend who is also a big fan of steak.

We opted for the branch in the Millennium center on Tahlia St. It has a great view as the entire restaurant has huge windows which overlook the Tahlia shops.

Upon stepping into the restaurant we were greeted at the door and directed to the family section which was up on the second floor. Passing by I caught a glimpse of the salad bar, although as our time was short I decided to skip the salad and’ focus my attention purely on the Steak, as this would be my first time to try it anywhere.

We decide to sit by the window to enjoy the view and mayhem caused by the rain outside. As we were already seated the waiter brought along the menu and asked us if we would like to start with a salad, our answer was no because frankly it really did not look that appealing to us.’ I opted for the steak with veggies. My friend chose the T- bone with potatoe. For drinks we chose the usual soft drinks.

I really liked the decor and interior of the place, but wasn’t too crazy about the food. The place reminded me of those old cow boy bars you see in films, a theme that was amplified by the huge mugs our waiter served our soft drinks in. As for waiting time, the food took quite a long time to be served. The taste was acceptable but not what I had expected it to be.

This was my very first time to try a steak, and so I ordered it well done. However in my opinion I felt that it was overdone. It found it hard to cut, and the steak dry and stiff. The seasoning was great though, and I liked the black pepper and flavouring they added.

The vegetables were more impressive, cooked well, neither too soft nor too hard, but somewhere in between.

Despite the slight let down of my order, my friend enjoyed her T- bone Steak, it’s her favourite dish as she is a regular at Steak House. She also always orders it well done, but she seemed to enjoy that more than I.

me and my husband went to steak house(red sea mall) today for dinner… and from the time we stepped in to the restaurant everything that we encounter was perfect……
first we ordered soup and salad which was really good. we were served with bread and cheese dressing with it. the dressing served was really yummy. along with that we ordered tropical smoothie which was really refreshing…
later we ordered chicken fajita platter which was cooked to perfection… it was served with rice two type of dressing, cheese sauce and cheddar cheese.. chicken was served on the bed of roasted onions.with some red bell peppers. fresh yummy tortillas were served with the platter..
we both were very delighted with the food and even more delighted with the service there.. because continuously we were entertained by the waiters there… in short every thing was too good there from the food to the serving and the environment. i would recommend everyone to try this amazing restaurant…

People have always perceived it as an American restaurant while it is mentioned in their website and Facebook page that its a local Saudi restaurant founded by locals here and acquired by Al-Faisaliah group. Details are available here:

well, i went there last night after getting disappointed by papaya the nearest restaurant that we could find was steak house, located next to the star’s avenue. i have been there before too. this time when we reached there, people were already waiting for tables. so we felt quite dissappointed, but after enquiring we came to know that they were not waiting for tables as there were many tables available but for the private caben tables were their priority so they were waiting for them. it was late and we were quite hungry, so as soon as the menu arrived we decided to skip the starter and immediatly ordered the main course. I ordered fajita combo that includes beef and chicken fajita both for me and cajun beef steak was ordered by my husband he usually orders their ribes and T bones but he wanted to try some thing new. which was quite dissapointing. and with the food as usual we ordered the salad and soup. i have always loved their soups and even did this time. the food took longer than it always takes. the fajita combo plater was a big serving, both of us could have eaten it, because the combo had shrimps, chicken and beef. On my request they removed shrimps and added chicken in its place, after tasting the beef fatija I was releaved that they replaced it with chicken not beef. the beef fajita was terribly dry, hard and tastless no where near a fajita. where as chicken was realy tender and tastly, i enjoyed it a lot, and left the beef. As for my husband he was constantly complaining that he ordered the steak well done and this was not as well done as it should be. in the begining we wanted to order the sweet but after tasting the food my husband just wanted to pay and leave. at the payment time i complained to the waiter about the fajita and steak, for which he said sorry but i thing its the chef’s fault not his. my suggestion, be very careful about choosing the food their, some things are not as good as the others. over all its an ok place.

ya lunch menu is great and tasted good. I lkie especially the chili soup.

The steaks however are not that good as I expected them. If you want a medium steak better order it bloody ;D

and don’t make the mistake to order it on the hot stone! it will be well done just after you take your third bite.

any decent steak restaurant won’t give you a deliciously tender and juicy steak if you ordered it well done. i take it that was your first time to order steak so that’s alright. you can experiment on the different “doneness” of steaks and settle on the one you prefer the most. in my humble opinion, steak house, ranks among the best restaurants in the country bar none. as far as steaks are concerned, steak house is pretty much on top!

Honesty is the best policy, I didn’t find a place that makes good steak with NO exception to the Steak House. I love to go to the Steak House back in the U.S. but not in here. The steaks are very chewy and flavorless, I didn’t enjoy it very much. But everything else on the menu seems to be ok.

From my experience i went there like 6 times and i ordered a steak(cause it’s steak house) every time and i only ordered beef once,it was flavorless and overdone. In my opinion the place takes 2stars only(and they should change the name). And i never go there when i want a steak.Instead i go to Friday’s its the best place for ribs and steak.

Steak House is a good place for steak but as I am accustomed to actual American Diners(in the US) it was a little flavorless the biggest letdown was the Burger I expected a burger that would fill my senses but instead got the same sort of Burger like the rest in Jeddah it just felt like a knock-off of a true Burger that’s the one dish that nobody got right in Jeddah and Fuddruckers are the only ones who came close.

steak house has the best lunch deal ever… i m there every Monday or Tuesday, reason being the soup served on those days at the lunch deal. i love the brocolli and cream soup and the meat soup. after eating the soup/ salad i m usually so filled up that i end up parcelling my steak/ burger and having it for dinner.
i acutually miss the old location of Steak house, as that had a more private and comfy environment to it.
but as for food and the Lunch deal “two thumbs up!!!!”

We have been circling the steak resto’s here in jeddah for weeks now. Me and my friends started in fudruckers where we tasted a good array of sandwitches and salads. My close friend told me once about this resto called Steak House, he said if i want a good tasting steak its the place in town. So last friday me and 3 more member of the pack went to Red Sea mall we wanted to see whats cookin in their food court so we went and look and we end up inside Steak House. The ambiance was ok there were seats outside and inside the resto. It was divided into 2 rooms left the singles right the families. We were seated on the familiy section, which is i figured the non smoking area. The salad bar was on the entrance of the family room. Kind of small with only had 5 family seats and another 1 6 seater table beside the salad bar. One of my friend ordered a T bone steak another ordered smoked chicken another ordered shrimps and i took a bite of the tenderloin steak all of us got the well done deal. The meat is easily hardened maybe because of the well done thing, my friend like the shrimp she said its tasty, the chicken too was ok its soft and well cooked but i thought its a little bit blunt tasting. My food was fine their baked potato was better than fudruckers because the presentation was much cuter its was wrap on a foil and the melted cheeze taste good, while the vegetables was just there for garnishing and nothing more. We also had the eat all you can salad. The tuna in the salad bar was really yummy we end up eating almost all of it. The glasses for beverages was a little interesting because it looks like a jigger mug with a roaster logo. Lastly we had the new dessert called the volcano, the waiter told us its like their good old fashioned brownies only that it looks likes a volcano, well it does but it didnt even taste like a brownie. It tasted like a cake with an ice cream on top. Anyways i end up eatin only the ice cream. We had a great time not eatin much, but if u preffer a lighter side of dining with a twist iced tea on a jigger roastered mug then i think the Steak House is the right resto for you.

I went there twice. First time i ordered tenderloin steak, not bad for those who are satisfied with just butter on their steak.
Second time, i ordered prime rib with mushroom sauce, which was a real dissapointment. The sauce was not a sauce at all….it was more like a dry blob of tasteless roux. My husband ordered tasteless beef burger, which i’ll be much happier to get a cheap 3 riyals burger at any burger parlor!
However, the salad bar was great. I especially like the thousand island dressing, which goes very well with most of the veggies. Two thumbs up for this, really.
But i will not come back there just for the salad, certainly.

so my experience at steak house….
ive been there 3 times so far and there always had to be a small little problem in something :(

for example, i was there yesterday…
ordered the chicken fajita wrap, and ur usual sides should be: sour cream and guacamole. none of them arrived, i had to ask for it… got my sour cream that tasted like yogurt and a chunk of something green that looked like wassabi. i poke my fork in it.. and it was frozen… so what they did, was freeze their guacamole and just take a chunk and gave it to me.

when i complained to the manager, he said he will do something.. but didn’t
i was extremely disappointed and doubt id go there again.

customer service is not at its best at steak house. id love to talk to the owner and or a manager in charge that will do something and give them a couple of tips on how to run a restaurant. (steak house-tahliah in millennium center)
