There is a circular restaurant located high above Andalus on top of Al Suhaili Business Centre (opposite TGI Friday’s). The restaurant is called Le Ciel, and can be accessed from Al Ma’adey Street; which runs along the back of the Centre. Le Ciel is accessed from the same back street where there is also a convenient car park for the use of diners.
Le Ciel takes just under an hour to complete one stately circumnavigation of its axis and the night-time views of the city are stupendously mesmerising from this wonderful, moving eyrie.
The decor is extravagantly red and gold and the baccarat candelabra on each table sparkle beautifully. It would be great if the restaurant were to open for tea at sunset, or provide a cafe for morning visits, but neither is available currently.

I went there once celebrating my husbands’birthday. We really had a unique night up there. The panoramic restaurant with the curtains, windows, lights and decoration is really great. The waiters were helpfull and indeed very classy. Of course Le Ciel by all meanings is very expensive, the food is served nearby french way and of course not many people prefer it like that. But in my openion this is such a place you go to enjoy a romantic, elegant time regardless how the food is.We paid 800 SR for dinner that night!
the restaurant is going to open during sunset times for hotdinks and deserts
I was not happy with Le Ciel! The only edible items were the appetizers, grilled haloumi and spring rolls. The fish I ordered was not cooked enough and was rubbery and ‘gelatin’, I returned it and ordered ravioli which was also inedible because of the flavor. Will definitely never go here again, the view is just not worth the money, because that is the best thing going for Le Ciel!
