The enticing aroma of succulent Kebab sounds like a perfect treat! Join us with family and friends and enjoy the Journey of the Kebab this month and sample the secret recipes, that include the carefully selected herbs and spices, of expert chefs. The menu offers a vast range with specialties including our signature Belad Al Sham Kebab (minced fresh lamb combined with garlic, parsley, flakes of chili and Arabic spices prepared on skewer with eggplant) and served with fine oriental salad.

The finest traditional and modern Arabian cuisine in an atmosphere of exquisite yet discreet luxury. Middle Eastern cuisine finds a Royal home at Mataam Al Sharq where a renowned Lebanese Chef awaits to take you on a gastronomic journey of ancient tastes and bouquets of smells that have influenced and fulfilled the region for centuries.

We booked a table for 10 last Friday and the restaurant was entirely empty, which I thought would be a fortunate sign since I assumed we will get attentive service at last in Jeddah.
Let me start by saying that the decor and ambiance of the restaurant is very grand and elegant- I don’t think it could get any fancier than that even cutlery is so posh.
Now back to the food- the table was filled with ‘mezza’ plates immediately which we’re basics of humous , baba ganoush, salads, vine leaves. The down point at that stage was the very late serving of drinks and bread! You would expect them to be the first things to be served
We had to ask for water and bread twice before getting them.
The grilled sea food platter and mixed meat were ok however the serving portions were tiny reminded me of some French restaurant portions not Lebanese!
Overall I enjoyed experience but whether I will fork out money there again, I highly doubt it
