I have been a frequent visitor of Jeddah Food but seldom found something related to Pakistani Food. Being a diverse city, Jeddah has always been a second home to a huge number of Pakistanis. I know for the fact that a lot of my Arab and Western Friends love Pakistani Cuisine and that’s why I decided to add a section on Pakistani Restaurants on Jeddah Food.

The first name that comes to my mind when we talk about Pakistani Food is of Marhaba Restaurant (behind Chillies on Andalus & Falestine St Junction). It is in my mind the best ambassador of this amazing South Asian cuisine, often confused with Indian cuisine, it has very distinct flavors.

The menu at Marhaba is well designed and it has almost all the best dishes this cuisine has to offer, from BBQ to Biryani, Lahori Fried Fish to chutneys (salsas) you will find everything to suit your appetite. The food is kept mild on purpose to accommodate non asian clientele. The atmosphere is elegant & clean and the staff is courteous as well. Last but not the least the food is affordable, two person enjoying a full meal will pay around a 100 SR.

The dishes I liked best at Marhaba are Chicken with Green Chilli, Seikh Kababs, Lahori Fried Fish, Qeema Naan (Bread filled with Minced Meat), Tandoori Paratha and the list can go on and on and on… You’ll have to try it and figure it out for yourself!

I am new to Jeddah, I have moved in from Riyadh. I have tried Marhaba in Riyadh many times, but Jeddah Marhaba seems to be much better than its other branches in Riyadh and Khobar.

The food tastes delicious, specially the “Seekh Kabab” and “Bihari Tikka Boti”.

I would recommend to any one who loves foods not just south east asians.

previously u had the Pakistani Flag as the identity of Marhaba, that really showed it as the only truely Pakistani Restaurant in town. why did u removed the flag? kindly publish the Pakistani Flag again to let people know that it is THE REAL PAKISTANI RESTAURANT.
    I SHALL BE GRATEFUL

If you are looking for a restaurant where taste meets fine dining, then look no further. Marhaba Restaurant nested in one of the finest areas in Jeddah offers a unique experience to its guests. From the moment you enter, you are given a warm welcome and escorted to your table. The Staff is not only well dressed but also
    very courteous.

Surrounded by a modest ambiance and warmth, you can divulge yourself into the Best Pakistani cuisine on offer in Jeddah and let your taste buds go wild. This restaurant is by far in the “Must Try” category for food lovers from all backgrounds.

One may also try the Buffet lunch deal which is just the tip of the iceberg for what this place has to offer.Hats off to the Management and Staff at this restaurant.

Marhaba only has good looks, thats it. Their food is not at all Pakistani standard and they charge SR5 for 1 can of Pepsi!!

The service is very very slow, you could visit the place if you are in a mood to sit and chat with family & friends without the staff interupting (read..attending) you with all your requests immediately.

I disagree. Marhaba Resturant is a vile depiction of a middle-class fine dines cuisine. From the bed-sheet looking drapes, to the audacity of the waiting staff’s un-cleanliness, the ranting little ones right down to the taste! I think Marhaba Resturant is a good hang-out for the ones who are less picky on what they eat; when they must.

If true Pakistani cuisine is the name of the game, try Makkah Restaurant in balad (or I think it’s called Sharefiya). Just for the food, nothing less and certainly nothing more.

Apart from that, Jeddah truly needs an authentic fine dine Pakistani place.

Please do not compare Marhaba with this sharfeya place. Compare things apple to apple…i wonder if you have ever visited Marhaba rest.??

dude you must own the place.

Marhaba just has Pakistani consideration, not Pakistani cuisine. Though the bedsheet curtains may be from Pakistan at Marhaba.

I agree, Marhaba is one of the best Pakistani restaurants in Jeddah. It offers authentic Pakistani cuisine. The ambiance is also relaxing. However, they should make a few additions to their dessert menu. Pakistani cuisine has a huge variety of desserts to offer, and Marhaba should let its customers enjoy more of it.
