I am Greek and i have been in Jeddah for five years and since the day I came here the thing I missed most was a Greek souvlaki. Either beef or chicken with homemade tzatziki tomato and onions. So when i heard about Jimmy’s i was really excited. Hoping to find some great tzatziki and these juicy pieces of chicken gyro we have back home and definitely Greek pita bread.

Unfortunately the only thing i found was the Greek pita bread (even though it was under-cooked). The chicken pieces were really small and rather dry (not as they usually are in Greece). The beef gyro which i think is called doner was dry too. You ll tell me now that if its juicy that means more fats etc but i gotta tell you this is how it is supposed to be and if you have tried it the right way you will know what I mean. The tzatziki was watery and you could not order a portion of tzatziki to dip your extra pita bread or potatoes.

As it goes for the price I found it rather good value around 5 to 6 SR per piece. The employees were  alsohelpful and polite. If you have tried souvlaki before you will be a bit dissapointed but still its the only place to get a souvlaki in jeddah.
