Top Ramadan Iftar Buffets
Info & mapWrite a Review

Just like last year, we’ve done the hard work so you dont have to. In Ramadan many of us appreciate breaking our fast at home surrounded by friends and family. But some choose to eat Iftar out either regularly or for that special event, and these days you can certainly do it in style. The Top Hotels in Jeddah have been doing Iftar Buffets as long as we can remember. Here are a few of the great offers at Jeddah’s Hotels which are running in Ramadan along with details of how much you can expect to pay for each Iftar and Suhoor. Wonderful website thank you, will let you know how how Iftar goes at the Hyatt Park !
Great job. Appreciate the effort. However, I suggest u include whether the buffet is served indoors or outdoors
Heh, around 10%-15% prices got raised.. I’ve got the same table of the previous year…
I think Jeddahfood is doing a great job in keeping the community updated about what’s new in the food and beverage sector in town.
I, as a food lover, have got to learn and experience a lot of restaurants in favor of this website.
The team is doing a very good job and my wishes for continuous success
I think we should appreciate this site instead of attacking it, it’s a further step forward instead of the lack of information about Jeddah……Try to be positive and see the big picture.
I went to Hilton’s ‘sohor’ buffet upon recommendation by a friend a couple of nights ago. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were excellent. The foodhall was huge but there were not so many people probably because we went a little bit early. As for the dishes, they were OK, well, good. There were many different varaieties of starters, main courses and deserts, mostly Mediterranean and Arabic. It was impossible to try them all but judging by the samples I had, they were fine.
On balance though, I have been to another buffet in Hilton which was smaller and slightly more expensive in an in-house restaurant located further down the lobby called ‘alsafinah’, the food was better and it was more crowded. I believe this restaurant would resume its buffets after Ramadan hiatus.
Its disappointing to see Jeddahfood.com only listed the Hotel Resturants for Iftar Buffet, whereas there are many more resturants offering Iftar Buffet in Jeddah.
Atleast they can list those resurants with some details of menu they are offering for Iftar.
still long way to go!
In defense of Jeddahfood.com (and let me profess by saying that I am not affiliated with this site, any restaurant, or business working in food industry for that matter) the restaurant themselves are doing a poor job advertising themselves. Aside from Ilvillagio (which got its own spot when it claimed it) there is not any restaurant that was active in advertising about their Iftar offering. I am sure the staff of Jeddahfood.com are doing their best trying to provide a platform for the restaurant industry, and I am sure there will be always a room for improvement, but I think its up to the restaurants themselves to use and take advantage of this platform.
The way I see it, it is a two way streets, because when there is a great communication between the restaurants and the site that gives instant updates, the two sides win. The restaurants get more exposure to the educated web savvy customers, and this site flourish in return and hopefully get more advertisements.
In conclusion, I think we should not be so hard on the messenger when the managements of those food premises themselves can not care less. At least this is my sentiment about the subject.
Although we are not trying to excuse our lack of coverage of restaurants this Ramadan, ayaa1977 has managed to sum it up almost exactly as it is.
We would love to cover more restaurants, however few get back to us, and even fewer have the proactive approach that ensures their promotions and offers are updated on the site.
Let me also clarify something, We don’t charge to list Iftar prices or menus on the web site. Any restaurant can claim a free page here.
It really is a two way street and we often find we are climbing an uphill one!
In future we hope to have more details on Restaurants offerings for Iftar in Ramadan, if any diners are reading this and know of any great offers around town, we encourage them to email these offers in to us, or post them in the comments on this page. Thank you all for your comments.
radisson 135 + 15 service for a group
It’s getting close to the middle of the month. Any one has any recommendations? What’s good and what not so far
ayaa1977 actually visited Il Villaggio, see his review here: http://www.jeddahfood.com/?p=8997&cpage=1#comment-42145 it sounds good!
thanks for the prices list you just made my work day easier.
Ramadan Kareem to everyone!
Thank you FoodCritic for the helpful chart. It is great to be well-informed ahead of any plans.
That being said, it seem to me the hotels are getting more expensive every year. It is ridiculous how much they are charging these days especially for iftar where people usually can’t eat that much. Anyway, I know I will be opting for more reasonable choices. Mug&Bean for instance charges SR45 per person for a very satisfying meal. Il Villagio’s offer is not that bad either.
Could some one advise where is Mug & Bean located in Jeddah
there’s one in Serafi Mall ground floor. Try their quesadillas and it’s really budget friendly.
Mug & Bean is located inside Serafi Mega Mall in the ground floor. In case you don’t know where is Serafi MEga Mall, it is on Tahliah (King Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz) Street and King Fahad street.
