Once in Kuwait i tried this great Chinese restaurant called Noodle Factory. There i had this incredible cream of corn/chicken soup. Not that i can get the name right, but the soup was engraved in my taste buds and for over a year i couldn’t find it again anywhere. Last weekend i discovered a place that was able to trace back those old memories. For an affordable price gulf royal offers exception service and food. Located in Al Rawda District in some backroads. its a giant Chinese looking house. Again, a great and more affordable option for Asian food than places like Toki.

Love the ambiance and the food was so delightful…D staff also plays an important role in making this resto a bash, with good customer relationship and an excellent service. Love the bread too….Once you’ve tried it u’ll keep on coming back…..
CARE FOR SPICY? the gulf royal chinese restaurant is offering a spicy dish called CHILI BEEF SPECIAL..how about non spicy soup.? a soup that added strenght to start up. LOBSTER SOUP in two ways, pumkins and creamy.
visiting gulf royal chinese restaurant at al rawdah baranch is a unique experience the tepanyaki is at best fresh from the kitchen with an aroma of typical chinese dish. the waiter serves the dish with smile..and the new menu chilli beef is fantastic for all the chili lover.
Decoration/furniture:
- Very appropriate to the genre of the restaurant, with the traditional-like Chinese gates, settings, and furniture.
- 2 lovely aquariums (1 open and 1 closed).
- Playground somewhat old and dull; needs a bit more of maintenance and more games, however, children do seem to enjoy their time there.
- Bigger halls are available for larger groups (eg company staff celebrations).
Food/menu:
- Best Chinese I have ever had.
- As a fine dining restaurant, a time delay should be expected (increases during crowded times).
- Served hot with the appropriate utensils.
- Complies with customers special needs (most of the times) – eg having a non-spicy instead of the spicy recipe.
- A wide variety of choices in the menu, which is also almost always available.
External facilities:
- Car parks are almost always available, and within a short distance.
- Good working hours (ie both lunch and dinner).
- Good maintenance of the greens outside the restaurant, and waiting rooms inside it.
Internal facilities:
- Comfortable dining and waiting rooms.
- Toilets are always clean and shiny.
- Staff are friendly, professional and transparent to deal with.
- Good isolation in families’ area (maybe not so much in bachelor/bachelorette areas).
- Relaxing music background.
- Safety measures (eg fire extinguisher) also available and under continuous maintenance.
this is my absolute favourite chinese restaurant in jeddah. the menu has a good variety to offer. i love their beef noodles and beef with black mushrooms. the quality of food is excellent, u can expect to be seated privately and the service provided will alwyz be very welcoming and prompt.
you should definately try it next time your up for Chinese!! it is best for Dinners
GREAT Food AND Service!
With all the options of Chinese food in Jeddah you would imagine that Gulf Royal would try to keep up. Besides an upgraded menu they have deteorated over the past few years. Bad service, cold food and tasteless dishes have become a norm
