Evania Ladies Spa, Park Hyatt

Dont you just wanna sit back and relax as ladies without the fuss of people peering over themselves to get a glimpse at you? Dardasha, Park Hyatts ladies only restaurant situated next to its spa, Evania offers you the privacy of being comfortable in a female only environment in the heart of Jeddah. Being located at a prime Corniche location, it is brimming with beautiful views of the seaside and the much-vaunted Jeddah fountain. We were lucky to get there in time at 5 pm to watch the sunset.

Coming to Dardasha itself, the foyer of the restaurant is spacious with 2 massive hallways leading to the main dining area. This leads to another large open space, where ladies generally prefer sitting on a good day to experience the beautiful weather. The main restaurant area where we were seated has full-length glass windows and very minimal decoration making it look very classy and elegant.

We went for high tea as a bunch of girls to celebrate an occasion recently. The given set menu was very elaborate, offering variety of cold sandwiches, sweets and savories. Each one of us received a three-layer fancy cake plate. The top layer had two delicious plain and raisins scones with cream and strawberry jam. The scones were perfectly baked and tasted great with the fresh cream.

The second layer of the cake plate had a variety of bite size desserts, which included Lemon tarts, chocolate Macaroons, fresh Opera cake, mini Cheesecake, Walnut Brownies, Coffee Eclair and a bowl of fresh stawberries & blueberries! Yumm!

The third layer had assorted cold Sandwiches. My personal favorite was smoked salmon on wheat bread and slow roast Beef tenderloin on herb bread. Other Sandwiches were chicken on tomato bread which was a bit dry and Halloumi on White bread which did not taste that great!

They have a fine selection of fresh juices such as Kiwi, carrot, orange, mint and Lemon for approximately 25-30 SR exclusive of the high-tea menu, which by the way costs 119 SR per person, which makes it exclusive but not completely out of reach for most people.

The overall experience of fine high tea at Dardasha is an excellent option because of the privacy it offers, the classy ambience, the generally good food and most of all if you have a good company of friends!
