This is my second trip back to Jeddah, and we’re determined to try some new restaurants out this time!
Well, last night our family of 4 went to Al Ferdaus because we had heard of the raving comments by others. All in all, it was a decent experience, but not one you’d run back to. The variety of the food was there, but not creative by any means. I guess I keep comparing it to the Friday brunch over the summer at the Rosewood Corniche. That was simply spectacular!
The Intercontinental brunch theme was BBQ and the steak, fish and calamari, among other items was very well seasoned and succulent. No doubt about that. It was the salads and other items that I was expecting more from.
Again, this is not to say this was a bad buffet. On the contrary, it is a good meal, but it’s not a WOW experience. The service is spectacular, and one of the cooks was even super nice enough to puree some mangoes and a banana for my infant to have as a meal.
The desserts were good too and plentiful.
We were hungry so we went…….decent buffet…..great service, but it left a bit to be desired.
