Here are a few of the great offers at Jeddah’s Hotels which are running in Ramadan along with details of how much you can expect to pay for each Iftar and Suhoor. I just had Iftar in Radisson last Wednesday. Though there was no company event, the place was jam packed. The food variety was a mixture of mostly Arabic cuisines. There was also an international section which also had a tempura line. The food selection was OK, but what attracted my palate was the tempura line and the tuna patties. The tempura selection had fish, squid and of course shrimp. The shrimp looked more like breaded shrimp than a tempura, but still it was delicious. It just lacked the tempura sauce though, which was replaced by tartar sauce.
The tuna patty though was divine! There was a soft-boiled whole egg inside which made it unique and delicious. It’s located near the tempura selection and something one must try when you try the Iftar in Radisson.
One thing unusual though, is that it lacked the usual juice and soft drink selection. What only came along with the buffet was Laban, Vimto, Peach juice, and water. You have to purchase other drinks ala-carte.
Another thing was that the food was almost gone in an hour. To think that what they offered was that the buffet would last until 9pm. Though some employees were offering that the kitchen staff might be able to make some of the menu choices that has been finished in the buffet table.
Overall, it was an OK experience. It might just be me; but having that much number of people spending dinner with you and around you can somewhat ruin the ambiance of the event itself.
At the price of SR 156; this Iftar is something one can match up to the other hotel offers during this Ramadan
