Although we are not trying to excuse our lack of coverage of restaurants this Ramadan, ayaa1977 has managed to sum it up almost exactly as it is.

We would love to cover more restaurants, however few get back to us, and even fewer have the proactive approach that ensures their promotions and offers are updated on the site.

Let me also clarify something, We don't charge to list Iftar prices or menus on the web site. Any restaurant can claim a free page here.

It really is a two way street and we often find we are climbing an uphill one!

In future we hope to have more details on Restaurants offerings for Iftar in Ramadan, if any diners are reading this and know of any great offers around town, we encourage them to email these offers in to us, or post them in the comments on this page. Thank you all for your comments.

In defense of Jeddahfood.com (and let me profess by saying that I am not affiliated with this site, any restaurant, or business working in food industry for that matter) the restaurant themselves are doing a poor job advertising themselves. Aside from Ilvillagio (which got its own spot when it claimed it) there is not any restaurant that was active in advertising about their Iftar offering. I am sure the staff of Jeddahfood.com are doing their best trying to provide a platform for the restaurant industry, and I am sure there will be always a room for improvement, but I think its up to the restaurants themselves to use and take advantage of this platform.

The way I see it, it is a two way streets, because when there is a great communication between the restaurants and the site that gives instant updates, the two sides win. The restaurants get more exposure to the educated web savvy customers, and this site flourish in return and hopefully get more advertisements.

In conclusion, I think we should not be so hard on the messenger when the managements of those food premises themselves can not care less. At least this is my sentiment about the subject.

Its disappointing to see Jeddahfood.com only listed the Hotel Resturants for Iftar Buffet, whereas there are many more resturants offering Iftar Buffet in Jeddah.

Atleast they can list those resurants with some details of menu they are offering for Iftar.

still long way to go!

Mug & Bean is located inside Serafi Mega Mall in the ground floor. In case you don't know where is Serafi MEga Mall, it is on Tahliah (King Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz) Street and King Fahad street.
